Attorney April Geltmaker
New Albany, Indiana, October 6, 2023 – Well known Southern Indiana Attorney, April Geltmaker, has joined CLLB (Church, Langdon, Lopp, Banet) Law as the newest attorney. Geltmaker joins the CLLB Firm after serving as General Counsel for Greater Clark County Schools.

Licensed in Indiana, Geltmaker brings a full range of experience with her as she will focus on areas of practice such as labor and bankruptcy, employment law, contracts, municipal and business matters; Providing legal advice and proactive training on labor and employment laws, including, discrimination and harassment, hiring and termination practices, leaves of absence and accommodations, retaliation, discipline, grievances, and workplace safety; Drafting employee handbooks, employment contracts, and separation agreements. “I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of such an experienced team of attorneys and look forward to contributing to the continued success of CLLB”, said Geltmaker.
“I am married and have two wonderful daughters. We have a dog named Rosie and 17 chickens (and always wanting to add more), adds Geltmaker”. Born and raised in Floyd County and a graduate from Floyd Central High School, April continued her education at Indiana University Southeast and graduated with High Distinction with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in French. She graduated from Indiana University McKinney School of Law where she studied for a summer in France, London, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg.
After law school, Geltmaker was a sole practitioner in Indianapolis and the surrounding areas focusing on family law, personal injury and bankruptcy cases. She was also a contract attorney with the Marion County Public Defender’s Agency representing parents in DCS cases. An opportunity to serve as General Counsel for Greater Clark County Schools allowed April’s family to return home to Southern Indiana where they live on property that has been in her father’s family since 1888.
